The National Council on Compensation Insurance is recommending a 9.5% decrease in loss costs for the voluntary market in Tennessee in 2020, a figure that's half of what the rating organization recommended for this year.
The filing report was just part of the news to come out of the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Advisory Council meeting late last month. Reports showed that the 2013 reform law has had some effect on comp costs, but downward cost trends had begun years before.
