The Pennsylvania State Workers' Insurance Fund (SWIF) will lay off 24 of its 310 workers as part of a state-ordered consolidation of its claims and field operations, the state Department of Labor and Industry confirmed on Monday.Labor department spokesman Christopher Manlove said notices went out to the workers on Monday. The layoffs will be staggered.
