WC Could Soon Pay for Behavioral Assessments of Workers Slow to Recover

Ohio regulators have released a draft of proposed rules that would set up reimbursement for behavioral assessments for workers who are slow in returning to work. An injured worker would be eligible for a health and behavior assessment and intervention (HBAI) if the primary physician determines that the worker is not progressing in injury recovery, and that delay appears to be due to behavioral barriers, the rule states.
