The Wyoming House of Representatives passed a bill that would allow employers to enter payment plans with the Workers’ Compensation Division for overdue premiums and penalties.
The House on Friday voted 54-3 to pass House Bill 84, by Rep. Eric Barlow, R-Campbell.
Under provisions in the bill, delinquent employers would not be charged interest on unpaid premiums or penalties so long as they comply with terms of the installment plan.
Barlow’s bill would also reduce the interest the DWC charges for unpaid premiums to 1% a month from 2%.
