Contractor's Payment of 'Nominal' Settlement Was Done in Good Faith

A California appellate court ruled that a general contractor's payment of $200,000 to resolve its potential liability to a subcontractor's employee was made in good faith, despite being a "nominal" sum to avoid liability for what is likely to be a multi-million dollar claim for damages.
