The Local Government Center has named the president of the New Hampshire Senate to become its director while it continues its appeal of a state administrative hearings officer's ruling that LGC commingled funds among its insurance pools and withheld $52 million in surplus due member cities and school districts.The Portsmouth Herald reported LGC has named Sen. Peter Bragdon, R-Milford, as its new chief executive under an $180,000, one-year contract.
