Claimant Must Pay Restitution for Double-Dipping

The Travis County District Court ordered a claimant to pay $8,192 in restitution after he was convicted on workers’ compensation fraud charges for double-dipping, Texas Mutual Insurance Co. said Monday. Gary Hunt, of Austin, reported a job-related injury while working as a sales coach for Radiant Plumbing Service Inc., and claimed he was unable to work, the carrier said in a press release.
