Quail Meat Processor Facing $92,000 in Fines

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited a Georgia-based quail meat processor for 23 safety and health violations following an inspection in January.OSHA said in a press release it has proposed fines of $92,115 against Quail International for violations at its plant in Greensboro, Ga.Inspectors issued 16 citations for serious violations, alleging the exposure of workers to electrical hazards, failure to protect workers from hand injuries and failure to determine whether eye protection and other protective gear were needed in the plant's de-boning room.OSHA said Q...
