Mary Elizabeth Butler Appointed Insurance Department Chief of Staff

Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelan has appointed Mary Elizabeth Butler as the insurance department's chief of staff. In her new role, which she assumed earlier this month, Butler oversees the agency's budget, personnel and day-to-day operations. Butler has worked for the Louisiana Department of Insurance since 2013, when she joined the agency's legal services division as a regulatory attorney.
