Two bills impacting workers' compensation insurance premiums became law in Missouri as the deadline for gubernatorial action on General Assembly bills passed late last month.
Gov. Jay Nixon signed HB 2194, which allows an insurer to remove or reduce an employer's premium discount if it sees fit. Previously, insurers could modify premium discounts only if the insurer withdrew or amended the rating plan, or the employer changed its operations.
