The Department of Workers’ Claims is reminding attorneys to file motions of approval for attorney fees electronically through the state’s Litigation Management System (LMS).
The agency said it continues to receive motions in paper form more than 30 days after the finality of the decision and after the claim has been closed in LMS.
A motion for allowance of an attorney fee must be filed within 30 days following the finality of the award, settlement or agreed resolution, DWC said in a notice.
