A farmworker in Southern California accused of double-dipping and identity theft pleaded guilty to one count of felony grand theft and agreed to pay $13,767 in restitution, according to Intercare Holdings Insurance Services.
Silvia Castro, 55, was arrested in April on charges of filing a false workers’ compensation claim, perjury, and using false citizenship documents and a false identity.
Intercare said Castro filed a claim against Garza Contracting for an injury she sustained after stepping on a nail in 2013. She did not seek immediate treatment and ended up being hospitalized ...
