Legalizing medical marijuana does not reduce the rate of fatal opioid overdoses, according to a newly published study that contradict the findings of a 2014 study on the same topic. The new study, from researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine, found no evidence of a connection between opioid deaths and the availability of medical cannabis.
