The New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Administration announced Friday the reappointment of Reginald “Reg” Woodard to another five-year term as a workers’ compensation judge, effective Nov. 24.
Workers’ compensation judges are initially appointed to a one-year term that may be followed by a five-year appointment. Woodard began his term on Nov. 24, 2012, and was reappointed once before.
Prior to becoming a workers’ compensation judge, Woodard practiced law for 35 years, the administration said. He was recognized in 2005 as a workers’ compensation legal specialist by the New Mexico Board of Legal Specialization.
Woodard earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in 1974 and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1977.
Woodard holds one of five judge positions in the administration’s Adjudications Bureau in Albuquerque.
