The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation is proposing to cut in half civil fines against self-insured employers that file late forms and reports, according to a notice posted Friday.
The proposed change to Rule 59L-5.217 would reduce the fine for filing a report, document or form more than 60 days late, to $50, from $100 per day. Total penalties for late reporting shall not exceed $5,000 instead of $10,000.
