A Cincinnati man has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of workers’ compensation fraud for running a landscaping business for at least five years without coverage.
Investigators with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation got a tip that William T. Maguire, 35, continued operating Grass Roots Landscaping & Lawn Care after his policy lapsed in September 2009.
He must pay BWC premiums of $92,447, the agency said.
