DCBS Looking at 2012 Assessments

The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services will announce the 2012 workers' compensation premium assessments that fund workplace safety programs and the reserve pool for self-insured employers on Oct. 4 and hold a hearing on the proposal on Oct. 11.The department said on Monday it must analyze financial data that is available after the August 2011 revenue forecast and the rate filing from the National Council on Compensation Insurance before it announces the proposed assessment rates.
