Federal prosecutors have charged two north Texas women with bilking the federal Office of Workers' Compensation Programs out of $6 million by upcoding and falsifying medical billing for several clinics.
Melissa Sumerour and Latosha Morgan were charged with health care fraud, according to the criminal complaint filed in the Northern District of Texas this week. Sumerour was an office administrator for clinics in Waco and Temple, and Morgan handled a Fort Worth facility.
