The California Department of Insurance rescheduled a hearing about a proposed 5.4% rate cut for October.
The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau in August recommended the department adopt an advisory pure premium rate of $1.58 per $100 of payroll for policies incepting on or after Jan. 1. If approved, the rate would be 5.4% lower than the last approved rate of $1.63.
A public hearing to discuss the proposal originally scheduled for the end of September was moved to Oct. 14.
The CDI hearing is at 10 a.m. in the 22nd-floor hearing room of 45 Fremont St. in San Francisco.
