The Texas attorney general has stepped into the middle of a dispute between an injured Wichita Falls police officer and the city that has denied his workers' compensation claims.
Attorney General Ken Paxton ruled this month that the city's contract with its workers' comp administrator was not exempt from open records laws and must be provided to Officer Tim Putney, according to local news reports.
