The Arizona Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that a worker’s family was not entitled to a trial to determine the amount of blame that should have been laid on the shoulders of the worker’s employer for contributing to the circumstances that led to the man's death.
The case was Twin City Insurance Co. v. Leija.
Victor Leija fell to his death in January 2008 while working as a window washer at the Bank of America building in Glendale, Arizona.
Leija’s employer had workers’ compensation insurance coverage with the Twin City Fire Insurance Co.
