An Ohio woman paid restitution to the Bureau of Workers' Compensation for helping a claimant defraud the bureau by paying him cash for his work while he was receiving worker's compensation benefits.
Angela Pugin of Spencerville pleaded guilty on April 18 in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas to a felony count of complicity to commit workers' compensation fraud. She paid $5,000 to cover the cost of BWC's investigation before sentencing and will also have to pay court costs, the BWC's Special Investigations Department said.
