An attorney who voluntarily left the legal professional in 2007 after admitting that he had made unauthorized withdrawals from client trust accounts to feed his gambling addiction may return to the practice of law on probationary status, the Louisiana Supreme Court ruled.
The high court last Friday approved a recommendation by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel to place Joseph Christopher Miciotto's law license on probationary status for two years on the condition that he continue therapy for his gambling addiction and work under the supervision of another attorney.
