Attorneys Object to Proposed Rule on Where Claimant Checks Can Be Sent

Claimants’ attorneys have objected to proposed rule changes that would allow insurance carriers to send workers’ compensation checks directly to injured workers, instead of to the attorneys who represent them, according to the Charleston Gazette. The proposed rules would allow carriers to decide whether to send benefit checks to the injured worker or to their attorney.
