Business Owner Pleads Guilty to Providing False Proof of Coverage

A Twinsburg, Ohio, business owner has pleaded guilty to lying to customers about having workers' compensation coverage and been ordered to pay more than $3,587.63 in restitution to the state Bureau of Workers' Compensation. The Summit County Court of Common Pleas sentenced Richard Wey, owner of North Shore Security Systems, for a felony workers' compensation fraud charge on Aug. 13, according to the BWC's Special Investigations Department.
