A New York truck driver has pleaded guilty to collecting more than $15,000 in workers' compensation benefits while holding down another job, New York State Inspector General Catherine Leahy Scott's office announced Wednesday.
William Forte, 51, of Amsterdam, allegedly worked for the City of Amsterdam while collecting out-of-work benefits for injuries to his left arm and hands sustained while working as a truck driver in 2012.
He was observed using his injured arm to lift tools, paint and climb ladders, Leahy Scott's office said.
