California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill holding customers liable for violations when they hire habitual labor law abusers or companies with unpaid citations.
The governor on Saturday signed SB 1402, by Sen. Ricardo Lara, D-Bell Gardens, requiring the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement to maintain an online list of drayage motor carriers that have unsatisfied judgments for unpaid wages, damages and expenses.
