Workers’ compensation self-insurance security held in Missouri increased 4.2%, to $632 million, last fiscal year, while the number of self-insured employers held nearly steady at 2,989.
Those are some of the figures included in a new annual report from the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.
According to the Division of Workers’ Compensation, 106,224 workplace injuries were reported in fiscal year 2016, including 80 fatalities, and total benefits were $231 million.
