Some 15 county employees in Spartanburg, South Carolina, have claimed sickness from mold inside a county office building, and they want civil damages to be determined in trial court.
County officials this week pushed back and asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that the claims properly belong in the workers' compensation arena. The employees' attorney has until Sept. 14 to respond to the motion, and the judge is expected to make a ruling after that, according to the GoUpstate.com news site.
