WCIRB C&R Committee Meeting Oct. 17

Friday, October 6, 2017 | 0

The Classification and Rating Committee for the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau will discuss, and possibly adopt, a policy data quality program during an Oct. 17 meeting in Oakland.

In October 2015, the Classification and Rating Committee created the policy data quality program on a pilot basis. The program was intended to ensure the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the policy data the WCIRB collects from carriers.

“Given the importance of improving the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of incoming policy data, staff recommends implementing it as an official WCIRB data quality program beginning on Jan. 1, 2018,” the meeting agenda says.

Committee members will also discuss possible revisions to the WCIRB’s Unit Statistical Data Quality Program and its California Premium Audit Accuracy Program.

The committee will also approve a schedule of meetings for 2018.

The C&R Committee meets at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 17 in the WCIRB office at 1221 Broadway in Oakland.
