Concrete Company Owner Charged With Underreporting Payroll

A 25-year-old Palm Beach County woman was charged last week with workers' compensation fraud after allegedly underreporting her company's payroll. Vanessa Arreguin, owner of V&G Concrete Inc., conducted more than $7.5 million in business over a two-year period, but claimed that she made less than $50,000, authorities said. That allowed her company to avoid paying $51,000 in workers' compensation premiums. She surrendered to detectives at the Palm Beach County Jail and was released on bond.
