A 25-year-old Palm Beach County woman was charged last week with workers' compensation fraud after allegedly underreporting her company's payroll.
Vanessa Arreguin, owner of V&G Concrete Inc., conducted more than $7.5 million in business over a two-year period, but claimed that she made less than $50,000, authorities said. That allowed her company to avoid paying $51,000 in workers' compensation premiums.
She surrendered to detectives at the Palm Beach County Jail and was released on bond. She could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted on all counts.
