Jail Clerk Charged With Workers' Compensation Fraud

An Alma woman has been charged with felony insurance fraud and a misdemeanor count of false swearing after allegedly fabricating a work-related injury. Laura A. Ditchkoff, 42, said she suffered a shoulder injury in August 2016 while delivering packages for J&L Package Service in Waycross, investigators said. An investigation by the Board of Workers’ Compensation’s Enforcement Division determined Ditchkoff was not working the day of her alleged injury.
