NCCI Recommends 6.2% Rate Reduction

The National Council on Compensation Insurance is recommending an average 6.2% reduction of premium rates in New Mexico for 2016, according to a report by the Albuquerque Journal. The Journal reports than an NCCI "study" reports losses for claims costing more than $500,000 dropped to $12 million in 2013 from $55 million in the previous year.  NCCI's State Relations Executive for New Mexico did not respond to requests from WorkCompCentral for a copy of the filing or the study referenced in the Journal's article.
