The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division issued a reminder on Friday that death benefits will increase on Jan. 1, along with an explanation on how to calculate benefit levels.
House Bill 2338 applies to all dates of injury. Starting Jan. 1, dependents who have a surviving parent, now paid a maximum of 10% of the state average weekly wage, will be paid up to a maximum of 25% of the statewide average weekly wage.
