The Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued eight safety violations and proposed $61,600 in penalties against a Wisconsin welding business for failing to enroll workers in a hearing conservation program. The federal agency cited Universal Industries, of Tomahawk, Wis., for failing to implement a hearing conservation program required by a 2011 settlement with OSHA.
