A San Francisco-based pornography company has attempted to compel its workers' compensation carrier to defend it in a negligence lawsuit filed by three actors who say they contracted HIV during video shoots, according to documents filed in the federal court in Oakland.
The carrier, State Compensation Insurance Fund, shot back in a motion for summary judgment filed Tuesday saying it has no obligation to defend Cybernet Entertainment LLC from the lawsuits.
State Fund said it has no duty to defend Cybernet Entertainment from the company's own "willful acts."
