DWC Schedules Hearing on Proposed Changes to MTUS

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation scheduled a hearing for July 18 to discuss proposed evidence-based updates to the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule. The DWC is proposing to incorporate into the MTUS four guidelines from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. One of the guidelines covers traumatic brain injuries, while the others cover general clinical issues.
