Roofer Charged With Stealing Child's Identity to Defraud Insurer

A Tampa man is accused of stealing a child’s Social Security number to obtain employment and then collect $21,000 in workers’ compensation benefits. Juan Cruz Vazquez, 44, was charged with one count of workers’ compensation fraud and one count of criminal use of personal information, said Jon Moore, acting press secretary for Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis.
