WCA Posts Proposed Fee Schedule and Billing Instructions

The New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Administration posted to its website proposed changes to its fee schedule and billing instructions that will be the subject of an Oct. 19 public hearing. Proposed rules would require payers to approve or reject requests for durable medical equipment within 72 hours, unless the worker is hospitalized, in which case a payer would have 24 hours to approve or deny the request.
