Maximum benefits for Florida workers' compensation claimants will increase 2.7% to $886 per week, the Florida Department of Financial Services said Tuesday.
Subsection 440.12(2) of Florida statutes sets the maximum rate at 100% of the statewide weekly wage adjusted to the nearest dollar. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity determined that the statewide average weekly wage was $886.46 for the four calendar quarters ending June 30, the department said.
The minimum rate remains $20.
