Oklahoma's Supreme Court on Wednesday announced that it will not hold off on ruling on the constitutionality of the state's controversial opt-out legislation as more decisions come out invalidating other provisions of the 2013 overhaul of the comp system.
State Attorney General Scott Pruitt had asked the court to stay the proceedings in Vasquez v. Dillard's for two months, to give the Legislature a chance to amend the Oklahoma Employee Injury Benefit Act to address the provisions that the Workers' Compensation Commission found unconstitutional in February.
