Couple Sentenced for Running Medical Transport Biz Without Comp Coverage

A husband and wife who operate a medical transportation service have been sentenced for running the business without workers’ compensation insurance. Kenneth Cohn, Sharon Cohn and their business, Yellow Medi-Van and Taxi Inc., were sentenced in Broome County Court. The Cohns forfeited $455,604 of funds received from Medicaid to the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
