Senate, House Split on Hospital Reimbursement Rates

Kamin, ReporterThe latest amendments to a bill that would create Indiana's first hospital fee schedule suggest that the reimbursement rate is still up for debate, as the Senate and House versions of the bill provide for reimbursement rates at 200% and 225% of the amount paid by Medicare. The Indiana Senate Committee on Pensions and Labor amended and approved a version of House Bill 1320 last week that would set hospital payments at 200% of Medicare reimbursement levels and sent the bill back out to the Senate floor for a second reading.
