A poultry processing company in Gainesville, Georgia, has been issued federal citations for more than a dozen safety violations, including exposing workers to amputation hazards by allegedly failing to provide machine guarding.
Koch Foods is facing proposed penalties of $208,977 from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration in connection with the Jan. 19 citations. The company has 15 business days to contest the citations.
