Comp Basics Are Subject of Upcoming Seminar

The Division of Workers’ Compensation will hold a free training seminar, “Workers’ Compensation 101,” for health care providers and staff on Jan. 31 in Austin. The seminar will cover how to identify a workers’ compensation patient and verify coverage; utilization review, including prospective, concurrent and retrospective review of medical necessity; return to work and Form DWC-073; medical bill processing and fee guidelines; and the process for resolving disputes.
