Physician Surrenders Authorization to Treat Injured Workers

A Horseheads physician has resigned his authorization to treat injured workers after the state Board for Professional Medical Conduct charged him with negligence on more than one occasion, and failure to maintain records. Dr. Maygoe Richard Sheehan is prohibited from treating injured workers as of Monday, and any reports submitted for services after then are invalid, the state Workers’ Compensation Board said in Subject No. 046-993.
