A three-day sting in Sarasota County led to 16 arrests for workers’ compensation fraud and unlicensed contracting, Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater announced on Friday.The 16 contractors were all cited for operating without workers’ compensation, a charge that carries a potential penalty of up to five years in prison.
