A Democratic state senator from Montgomery County is trying again with a bill to aid those who assist foreign workers in the U.S.
Maryland state Sen. Susan Lee proposed a similar bill to Senate Bill 526 last year, but it fizzled in the chamber’s finance committee.
This year, Lee introduced the bill alongside two cosponsors, Sens. Richard Madaleno, D-Montgomery, and Jim Rosapepe, D-Prince George’s. A committee hearing on the measure is set for Feb. 20.
