A Texas man was ordered to pay $9,828 restitution to Texas Mutual Insurance Co. after investigators discovered he worked while receiving income benefits.
The Travis County District Court ordered Thomas Bradley, of Santa Fe, to pay the restitution as part of his sentence for a misdemeanor fraud charge, Texas Mutual said in a press release. Adjudication was deferred.
Bradley reported a work-related injury while employed by General Petro Chem Industry in Pearland, Texas.
