The Minnesota Department of Commerce has requested proposals by Aug. 1 to manage operation of the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Assigned Risk Plan.Department spokesman Bill Walsh said Wednesday that the request for proposals is being issued because the current vendor received a three-year contract, with two one-year extensions. The contract expires in September and the state is required to put the contract out for bids again, he said.The current vendor is Park Glen Management Co., which currently is paid $425,000 a year.
